Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Film Review By Logan Coleman

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is the latest film from Director an Oscar nominee Gil Kenan. The cast that stood out was Prime-Time Emmy nominee Mckenna Grace, Golden Globe nominee Paul Rudd, Prime-Time Emmy nominee Carrie Coon, Oscar nominee Kumail Nanjiani, Prime-Time Emmy Winner Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor, Emily Alyn Lind, Oscar nominee Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Prime-Time Emmy nominee Annie Potts. A lot of the special effects stood out in the film. This film is a good popcorn film.

I did not care for the writing of Oscar nominee Bill Murray character when it comes to the dialogue which I found it was a bit risqué. The film needed two more rewrites in my honest opinion. In my honest opinion the film could have been trimmed by ten minutes to improve the pacing of the overall film. This film does have sapphic elements in it as it relates to one main character in my honest opinion is definitely part of the LGBTQ+ community without actually saying it. I am actually going against most other film critics; I am giving this film 8 and ½ stars out of 10.

Late Night with the Devil Film Review By Logan Coleman

Late Night with the Devil is the latest film from Directors Colin Cairnes and Cameron Cairnes. The cast that stood out was Laura Gordon, Ingrid Torelli, Georgina Haig. I found this film failing to land many things when it comes to multiple themes. In my honest opinion I found that David Dastmalchian was miscast which I would have suggested Néstor Carbonell for his role in the film.

I had issues with the three artificial intelligence created pieces of art because it basically took work from true artists who create this form of art by paintings. I am actually going against most other film critics; I am giving this film 6 and ¾ stars out of 10.

The cast that stood out was Prime-Time Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney, Benedetta Porcaroli, and Prime-Time Emmy nominee Simona Tabasco. This film has certain similarities with A Cure for Wellness, The Omen, Suspiria, The Wicker Man, and Midsommar. I honesty though the first half of film was good.

But I was shocked when this film went of the rails in the ending of film by going more for shock value and honestly my only spoiler which could be triggering is that the ending leaved to believe that a baby is killed in a brutal way which I found to be very sickening and disturbed. I am actually going against most other film critics; I am giving this film 3 and ¾ stars out of 10.

The American Society of Magical Negroes is the Directorial debut of Kobi Libii. The cast that stood out was Justice Smith, Tony Winner David Alan Grier, An-Li Bogan. The film has similar elements of Harry Potter, Sorry to Bother You, and is a romantic comedy with satirical elements based on racial stereotypes in past films, novels and works of television shows.

In my honest opinion I hope people will give this film a chance and watch it in the theater as it sets up a great idea for a sequel. The film needed one more rewrite which I believe would help with the pacing of the film. I am actually going against most other film critics; I am giving this film 9 and ¾ stars out of 10.

The film does deals with the effects of domestic abuse as well as the dangers of steroid abuse in a fantasy scenario. I am hopeful that Oscar nominee Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian, Golden Globe nominee Jena Malone will receive Oscar nominations for their roles in the film.                                                                                      Imaginary is the latest film from Director Jeff Wadlow. The cast that stood out was DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Verónica Falcón. This is a solid C+ horror thriller with splashes of comedy in the film that could have been improved with a couple more rewrites as well as less twists in the story.
